DCADV’s survivors' task force, WEAVER (Women Empowered Against Violence in Every Relationship), will share their "Stories of Abuse, Escape, and Recovery" and will discuss what abusive relationships look like, the warning signs, and more. DCADV and partners will host the first THRIVE Delaware conference to address domestic violence as a public health issue. We will explore the health care response to domestic violence, as well as prevention strategies to reduce gender health disparities. The full-day conference will feature a Town Hall with U.S. Senator Chris Coons and in-depth training provided by Futures Without Violence from San Franscisco, CA, and other community partners.

This two-day training event aims to increase knowledge and understanding among advocates and service providers about how domestic violence impacts individuals, families, and communities. Presenters will also provide information on organizational trauma and skills to help create trauma-informed organizations that are better equipped to assist the clients/survivors they serve.
