Each year, we ask individuals and organizations to join us in our efforts to keep families safe from violence and abuse by becoming a Supporting Member or making a Donation to the Delaware Coalition Against Domestic Violence. Only through the collective action of our whole community, can we hope to create a safer and more just world in which violence or abuse directed toward an intimate partner becomes unthinkable. As your statewide domestic violence coalition, we are strengthened by the support and generosity of the Delaware community. Please join our efforts to create a more peaceful future for victims and their families. Your commitment to ending violence is crucial to our success. With your membership or donation, you'll become a part of a 10 year tradition of accomplishments that include:

  • Numerous yearly training workshops for the domestic violence community and speakers to many different types of community agencies;
  • Domestic violence specialist training certifications to advocates and service providers who meet established training and direct service criteria;
  • Public education press conferences, sponsored outdoor media billboards, conducted print and broadcast interviews, and delivered speeches to key audiences around the state;
  • Regular meetings with various Delaware organizations, ranging from the Domestic Violence Task Force, Victims' Rights Task Force, The Attorney General's Task Force on Animal Cruelty and Interpersonal Violence to sitting on the Domestic Violence Coordinating Council's Sub Committees;
  • Partnering efforts with corporate leaders and Delaware's Attorney General to form the Corporate Citizens' Initiative in order to raise awareness regarding how domestic violence impacts the workplace and the entire business community; and
  • Established a Women of Color Task Force to help address the concerns of victims from diverse communities. Launched a statewide focus group project to assess the needs of Delaware's immigrant communities. Created a Committee for Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Trans Concerns, which provides training on same-sex domestic violence and advocates public policy that improves the justice system's response to violence in same-sex relationships.
