Member Organizations of the DCADV are Delaware organizations whose primary focus is to provide direct services to adult victims of domestic violence, and/or operate a shelter for battered women. Member Organizations must support the mission, goals, and philosophy of the Delaware Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
Member Programs of the DCADV are programs that provide direct services for victims of domestic violence under the auspices of a non-profit organization. Member Program representatives and their parent organizations must support the mission, goals, and philosophy of the Delaware Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

Member Organizations
Abriendo Puertas, Sussex County
Abriendo Puertas assists the immigrant women and their children of Sussex County who are victims of violence. Abriendo Puertas runs a 24 hour bi-lingual Domestic Violence Hotline 302-745-9874 and a shelter for women victims of abuse. The facility is prepared to house five (5) women at a time with their children, for a transition period of thirty (30) days that may be extended as needed. The women are provided with support, counseling, court advocacy, transportation, translation, and general case management services, including health, housing, job opportunities, etc. The staff of Abriendo Puertas is fully bi-lingual in Spanish and English. People's Place II, Inc., Kent & Sussex Counties
The SAFE Program and Turning Point at People's Place are two domestic violence programs run by People's Place II, Inc.
The
SAFE Program - Shelter, Advocacy, Freedom and Empowerment
SAFE runs a 24 hour domestic violence hotline 302-422-8058, a 24 hour crisis intervention hotline 302-678-3886, and shelters in Kent and Sussex Counties (45 day stay). Other services offered are transitional housing services, shelter based and community case management services, advocacy, and information and referral services.
Turning Point at People's Place
Turning Point's Domestic Violence Intervention Program provides services to victims and perpetrators of domestic violence and their children. These services include a domestic violence intervention program for offenders, counseling and support groups for victims and therapeutic services for children.
The Anger Management Program is a six week program for individuals who have an anger problem or who have had an incident with a non-intimate partner.
Turning Point at People's Place provides free services to victims of domestic violence. There are four support groups offered in the daytime and evenings. Individual counseling sessions can be scheduled when appropriate. There are also services for children including individual, group, and/or family therapy.
Turning Point at People's Place also offers an intensive Parenting Program. Parent Intervention addresses issues beyond the usual parenting skills.
Divorcing and Separating Parent Education is offered to individuals who have petitioned the court for either custody or divorce. A specialized version of this class is offered for cases involving domestic violence.
Therapeutic Visitation Services are provided to families in conjunction with the Family Visitation Center. The Family Visitation Center also provides a safe environment for families residing in Kent and Sussex Counties to either exchange children or to visit with children in either monitored or supervised visits.

Community Legal Aid Society, Inc. (CLASI), Kent & Sussex Counties
Community Legal Aid Society, Inc. is a non-profit legal program that assists victims of domestic violence with Protection From Abuse Orders (PFA's), divorce (including ancillary matters such as property distribution), and custody issues. They also offer help to victims with immigration status. The Poverty Program helps victims who are low income, the Elder Law Program helps victims 60 years of age and over and the Disabilities Law Program for individuals with a legal problem as a result of a disability. Delaware Center for Justice (DCJ), New Castle County
The Delaware Center for Justice runs two programs to help older victims of crime, Services for Elderly Crime Victims and Project Target. The Delaware Center for Justice offers intensive case management services, meeting both crime-related needs and other needs individuals may have during their interaction with DCJ. The YWCA Delaware's Domestic Abuse Outreach Center performs confidential outreach and individualized case management to help women break free from the emotional and physical pain of violence, and gain the skills needed to rebuild their lives. Services include therapeutic counseling for those who are direct victims of abuse, child abuse, sexual assault and other crimes.
