Welcome to the Delaware MEN: Men's Education Network.

This group of committed, concerned men in Delaware began meeting in April 2011 with the

goal of promoting healthy relationships, and, ultimately, ending domestic violence.

Delaware MEN will create and implement a plan to engage men from throughout The First State to help reach this goal.

To get involved or learn more, contact the Delaware Coalition Against Domestic Violence (DCADV) at 302-658-2958.

Delaware MEN

Delaware MEN was created at a special Roundtable Event led by Tony Porter from the national "Call to Men" organization in October 2010, and is part of DCADV's prevention and outreach efforts to engage men in this important issue.  Like Tony Porter, DCADV believes that domestic violence is not merely "a women's issue" (i.e. it should be of concern to all of our families and communities), and, men have an important role in helping to end it.

A Call to Men Roundtable

October, 29, 2010

Tony Porter from the national "Call to Men" organization facilitated a day-long, interactive discussion with 50 men from throughout Delaware who came to learn more about what men can do to end domestic violence in our state.  Photos from the event are below.

Interest and feedback was overwhelming!  A core group of men from the roundtable will begin working on an outreach project beginning in December 2010 Any men interested in getting involved should contact training@dcadv.org.

Feedback and comments we received:

  • 100% of participants who completed the post-survey indicated they feel motivated to become involved in ending violence against women after participating in the roundtable.

  • “This was one of the very best roundtable sessions I have ever participated in.  It has great personal value to me to be the kind of person I want to be and to pass that on to my family and community.  Thanks!”

  • “Thanks for allowing me to attend and participate in this excellent conference.  Very impressive!!  I salute you!  Bravo!  Keep up this great work.  I will take your message and pass it on and keep more people involved and informed.”

  • “Tonya's program is outstanding!  Looking forward to participating in a Delaware-based Call to Men coalition.”

  • “Excellent presentations.  I learned a great deal.  I'm anxious to share this information with other men.  Thank you!!”
